The holidays are here!

Nothing makes a more enjoyable outing than:
making your very own pizza; visiting a chocolate factory; drawing yourself a batik; and entering the underwater world.

1) Domino's Pizza

Kids twisted the bread into 'twister bread' and added ingredients to their very own pizza. Making their own breads and pizzas made the kids wanted to eat better.

2) Berly's Chocolate Factory
Checked out the making of chocolates.

3) Draw a batik
Kids made their own batik.

4) KLCC Aquaria
Discovered the underwater world. sharks swam across over the kids scared them off.

art's fun Competition 2007 -- Group C

Group C
Age 11 to 15

Competition topics
1) Still life sketching
Mainly to show the substance of the still object and the treatment of light and darkness.
2) Movie poster
Mainly to attract the spectators, to express the feeling of the movie
3) T-shirt design
Mainly to attract the spectators, with special and creative design
4) Bird world/ fantasy world
Mainly to show the feeling of a world, one bird/object does not represent a world.
5) Traditional art
(e.g. batik, wayang kulit, folk art, paper cutting)
Mainly to express the uniqueness and beauty of traditional art.

Students were given 1 month time to complete the drawings.

First Prize - Ng Meng Choo (15) Bird world
Comments:
You can tell how much efforts and attention is needed to complete such a drawing. The picture is well-structured. Birds are attractive and lively.

Second Prize - Wong Mey Yeng (13) Movie poster
Comments:
Very neat drawing and colouring. The paper also specially handled.

Third Prize - Tai Jia Yi (15) T-shirt design
Comments:
Very creative. Design concept is good. Bold colour therefore attractive.

Excellence Award - Wong Ru Yan (15) Traditional art – folk art
Comments:
Very rich colours. Attractive and complete structure.

Control of the light is excellence.

Cute drawing. Comfortable colours.

Well-structured. Colours are bright and vibrant.

Light control of the flower are good. Just that the background is a bit unrealistic.

Animation characters are fine. Human proportion and structure are pretty good.

Comments:
Very comfortable and peaceful fantasy world.

Control of the light is good. Just that the background is a bit empty.

Group B
Age 7 to 10

Competition topics
1) Hide and seek
2) World of flowers
3) My favorite sport
4) Myth (any stories with fairy/magic/supernatural, such as Hercules, harry potter, monkey king traveled to the West)
5) Create/design my own toy

Drawings were completed within 2 hours on the spot.

Judgment based on creativity, colour matching and neatness.

First Prize - Jessmin Soo (10) Myth
Comments:
Bright and vibrant colours with a well-structured ideas. As whole, very attractive.

Second Prize - Eunice Loke (10) World of flowers
Comments:
Colouring skill is good. Picture are rich. A happy flower world.

Third Prize - Cha Sing Yee (8) Myth
Comments:
Proportions of the human are very fine. Show the pitiful of Chang-Er had to fly up to the moon.

Excellence Award - Soh Jing Wen (7) Hide & Seek
Comments:
Well-structured drawing. You can feel the joy of playing hide & seek.

Excellence Award - Cheng Jia Wei (10) Hide & Seek
Comments:
Background and colouring are rich. Just those kids with grey hair are a little bit weird.
