Easter Day is around the corner

Do you know what is Easter Day all about?

This is the day Christians all around the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from His death. Eggs play a part in the celebration. They symbolize new life. The first eggs given during Easter were birds' eggs. These eggs were painted in bright colours to give them further meaning as gifts.

Now, you can make your very own Easter eggs! They'll be extra special because you make them yourself!

Miss Chai will let you know how.

1. Obviously, you need eggs!! Make a hole and get rid of the white & the yolk.

2. What else?
1) Gypsum powder
2) Cup
3) Water
4) Spray
5) Water colour & brush

3. Dilute the gypsum powder in the cup with water. Keep stirring it & stir fast!
Tips: Stir fast. The gypsum powder will harden very fast.

4. Pour the mixed gypsum powder into the empty egg shell.

5. Put aside. Wait till the gypsum powder harden. Then peel the egg shell off.
Tips: When the powder is still watery, the egg shell is cold. The egg shell turned warm when the powder becomes hard.

6. Colour the harden egg-shaped gypsum as you like.
Tips: Spray it after coloured to keep the colour fast and bright.

7. Completed Easter egg!!

Here comes the Spring

Malaysia doesn't have 4 seasons.

Fine, Miss Chai will bring you the "Spring" for this Lunar New Year!

What do you need?
paper, thread, horse tail, scissor, tape, pencil.
Tips: Hard paper = solid "Spring".

1. Begin with a square sheet of paper.

2. Fold it on the diagonal.

3. Continue with another fold.

4. Bring corner end till edges coincide, then make the fold.

Tips: Is your "Spring" looks like this now?

5. Bring another corner end till edges coincide, also make the fold.

Tips: Your "Spring" has to look like this now.

6. Fold it on the diagonal.

7. Draw the "Spring" accordingly.

8. Cut the shaded area.

9. Cut a hole on top of your "Spring". Put the thread through it.
Tips: Adjust the length of the thread to your preference.
Tips: Adding a horse tail (or any of your preference) at the end of the thread will be nice.
Tips: Stick the thread with tape. Glue may soften the paper, and create ugly "wrinkles".

OK, here comes the "Spring".

Dear students,

Thank you for your participation in the recent art's fun Competition. You all have done a marvelous job. Luckily or unluckily, there were too many excellent performers. Therefore, we have to forego many good drawings.

Miss Chai would like to acknowledge all the efforts that you had put in. You may have missed out this time. But please do not give up.

Mainly to express the ecology of any animal

5) National Culture / Festival
Mainly to show the human expression or body motion
